It's all about people being discriminated based on their genetic make-up instead of their gender, race or religion. So, whether you have the chance to work in the society and fulfill your dreams depend solely on your genes. If you have any genetic defects, i'm sorry, you will become one of the underclass of humans that are only useful for menial jobs.

In the movie, at the moment of your birth, your probability of getting any disease, how long you are able to live etc are being mapped out immediately just by getting your blood sample. If you have any physical dysfunctions or short life expectancy, you will be classified as 'INVALID' in this aerospace company where all the people who got up right to the top positions are 'VALID'. Sibei sad right?

Lastly, genetic engineering of humans is so so so common in this movie that I feel their lives like very boring larh. haha. I was telling Fangs their lives like very dead. Everyone like too perfect and look so cold larh.. zzz. Like they don't have any dogs or any feelings etc. Haha. Anyway, for the benefit of some people.. In the movie, the parents would go for a test of all their fertilised eggs. From there, they just need to tell the Scientist any qualities they would like their child to have (eg: hazel eyes, black hair, tall etc) and the scientist would pick the best out of the fertilised eggs and then add those genes with the qualities they want or delete those genes that carry any disease to the egg. - this is call genetic engineering.

So just catch it, people. Go see how the main lead transcends his deficiencies through force of will and spirit..(: When you watch it, you wouldn't believe that this movie like produced during 1997 larh.. zzz. (Except for their hairstyles.. hahaha.) Esp kor.., ((: Nice show, kor, go watch during CNY if you're busy.. think you will find it interesting.. ((;

Anw, these few days like kinda amazing la!
1) On Sunday, while i was in my workplace, suddenly this thot just came to my mind- should i call Rong Yi(one of my cust) during CNY and wish her happy new year? in less than half an hr, she appeared in my workplace!!! And she bought the usual products from me.
2) This morn, dar just came to my mind. (I was alr v late for sch, i dunno how the hell she came to my mind.. haha..!) When i reached school, i recieved her offline msg saying she missed me!!!! wahaha!! :DDD

How I wish everytime i miss anyone, the person will appear infront of me- just like Rong Yi..
